Today\u2019s guest deejay is Roger Richards, the head honcho of Extreme<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n

Today\u2019s show was years in the making. Decades.<\/p>\n\n

Last century, I was a deejay at WMFO. I came across a lot of great things in the new bin. One day, I came across a compilation album titled X \u2013 X Section<\/a><\/em> that featured tracks from musicians who explored ambient, experimental, and sheer noise. That album contained deep eddies and pulled me in. In particular, I played C-Schulz<\/a>\u2019s \u201cFirn\u201d over and over again. From then on, I purchased any CD that bore the Extreme label.<\/p>\n\n

When I launched my electronic music show, Solipsistic Nation<\/a>, I interviewed Roger and played select tracks from his label (you can listen to that show here<\/a>). I got a thrill talking to the man responsible for so many of the albums I had grown to love over the years. Naturally, I had to have Roger on Soundwave. We\u2019re all busy people, Roger especially. Still, after a couple of years, he\u2019s agreed to come on the show and feature music from Extreme. It\u2019s quite the mix, and I know you\u2019re going to love it as much as I do.<\/p>\n\n
