Today\u2019s guest deejay is Alex Haas<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n

I\u2019ve been a fan of Alex\u2019s music since the last century. It feels strange to write that, but it\u2019s true.<\/p>\n\n

I discovered Alex on his Cypher 7<\/a> album, Decoder<\/a><\/em> that he recorded with Jeff Bova<\/a>. Decoder<\/em> came in all all-back CD jewel case. Very mysterious and very sexy. Decoder<\/em> was released on Strata<\/a>, Bill Laswell<\/a>\u2019s sub-label of Subharmonic Records<\/a>, and that was all I needed to know in my decision-making process to purchase the album. I was not disappointed. Decoder<\/em> was as mysterious and sexy as its CD case. The music was minimal, sinuous, and entrancing.<\/p>\n\n
