So let\u2019s get right to today\u2019s show.<\/p>\n\n<p>Our guest deejay is Jason Engling.<\/p>\n\n<p>I\u2019m not sure how I first discovered Jason except that I fell in love with his music after <a href=\"http:\/\/josephaleo.com\/blog\/solipsistic-nation-no-105-et-in-arcadia-ego\/\" title=\"solipsistic NATION No. 105: Et In Arcadia Ego\">hearing his track<\/a>, \u201csometimes i lay in fields at night\u201d. So much so that I invited Jason to come on solipsistic NATION to showcase his <a href=\"http:\/\/josephaleo.com\/blog\/solipsistic-nation-no-97-bubblegone-and-verzerren-live\/\" title=\"solipsistic NATION No. 97: Bubblegone and Verzerren, Live\">live performance<\/a> that was recorded in the Darkroom in Chicago. I have continued creating ambient works that incorporate\u00a0analogue and digital techniques and tools.<\/p>\n\n<p>Recent works have incorporated\u00a0lofi tools such as cassette tape loops\u00a0and resample sounds through different amplification\u00a0sources. My recent live performance have focused on using electro-acoustic techniques utilizing acoustic instruments, such as kalimba and melodica, alongside custom built sampling software and eurorack modules. Outside of my solo works my group,\u201dLiquid Maus\u201d has a cassette release on the Histaminetape\u00a0 label.
