It\u2019s the first weekend of the month, and that means a live set<\/a>! It\u2019s one of the things I got the most excited about every month. Recent shows have featured performances from everyone from Atari Teenage Riot<\/a> to Zion Train<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Today on solipsistic NATION<\/b> were going to hear a live in-studio performance from MSSNGDGTS<\/a> (88:88). But first we\u2019re going to hear select tracks from 88:88\u2019s The Grey<\/i> album, which you can download absolutely for free<\/a>!<\/p>\n

EJ Peter is 88:88 and it\u2019s kind of cool how he came to be on today\u2019s show.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been hard at work preparing future live sets for solipsistic NATION<\/b> but I didn\u2019t see the forest for the trees. The weekend was fast approaching and I had zip. So I did what I always do when I\u2019m in a jam like that: I went on Twitter and asked if anyone had a live set they\u2019d like to share on solipsistic NATION<\/b>. And out of the blue, 88:88 came through. In fact, he\u2019s recording his live set for us as I type these very words. That\u2019s how fresh this show is! And it\u2019s also a perfect example of how social media makes this show happen.<\/p>\n

I actually played a track from EJ a few months ago when I was doing a segment<\/a> on the Future Sounds of San Diego<\/a><\/i> compilation album. There were a lot of great tracks on the album but 88:88\u2019s \u201cDub-Hop\u201d immediately caught my attention so it\u2019s a nice bit of synchronicity that he\u2019s on today\u2019s show.<\/p>\n
