Today on solipsistic NATION<\/b> we\u2019re going to bring in the Rapture<\/a> with a mix put together for us by Praketh<\/a>, who is also the host of the blueOrb podcast<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Praketh has only released a handful of shows on blueOrb but when he does, well, they\u2019re just breath taking!<\/p>\n

I first came across Praketh\u2019s blueOrb podcast back in 2006 when he released his Down The Rabbit Hole (Electronic Chillout Mix)<\/i>. I still remember the first time I listened to it.<\/p>\n

It was an early morning in San Diego. I had just pulled an all-nighter and was walking down the street to get some coffee. I had Praketh\u2019s mix playing over my headphones and I was hearing things that I wasn\u2019t sure was part of his mix or sounds of my city. They blended together so seamlessly I couldn\u2019t tell one from the other. but they made that morning a magical experience.<\/p>\n

And then there was the music, the beautiful music! With tracks from the likes of Tycho<\/a>, Boards of Canada<\/a> and Nalepa<\/a> it\u2019s hard to go wrong, but in Praketh\u2019s hands he turned those songs into a narrative and an emotional journey.<\/p>\n

I was so touched by Praketh\u2019s mix I asked him if I could feature it on the show, and you can find it here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Last month, Praketh emailed me with a link to another mix he had put together and asked if I would consider playing it on the show. I said yes before I had even downloaded his mix.<\/p>\n

Praketh is an Indian based electronic music DJ who also performs as buffaPirate<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As blueOrb he plays music that\u2019s emotional and rich in texture. As buffaPirate he spins bass heavy electronic music like Dubstep, drum and bass and Glitch-Hop.<\/p>\n

In 2008 he moved from Bombay to New Delhi to work as the A&R\/Label Manager for Audio Aashram<\/a> and Programming Head for Radio79.com<\/a>. As of 2011 he has focused more on his own music productions, which I am really looking forward to hearing more of.<\/p>\n
