On today\u2019s show we\u2019ve got a fantastic mix from the mighty Riley Warren<\/a>. Riley is a DJ and a producer and is the founder of Zero Digital<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Riley is a fellow San Diegan who I met through Twitter<\/a> (you can follow her on Twitter at http:\/\/twitter.com\/RileyWarren<\/a>).<\/p>\n

I love Twitter. I know that in a few years we\u2019ll look back on Twitter the same way we think of, say, Yahoo\u2019s instant messenger: just another tool that we take for granted. But today, right now, I think it\u2019s a fantastic tool for communicating with a large swathe of people. I\u2019ve been using Twitter to talk with listeners of solipsistic NATION<\/b> about what they like about the show or invite them to participate in the interviews with my guests. I\u2019ve also used Twitter to build relationship with musicians and record labels. And that\u2019s just the tip of the iceberg.<\/p>\n

Anyway, back to Riley.<\/p>\n

We had been talking back and forth on Twitter and when I earned that she also lives in San Diego I suggested that we get together for lunch at the Krakatoa Cafe<\/a>. I had a great time talking with Riley about her career as a DJ and a producer and her record label. I invited her to put together a mix for solipsistic NATION<\/b> and here it is. I know you\u2019re gonna love it!<\/p>\n

I think next week I\u2019m going to bring things way down with an ambient set. What with Riley\u2019s mix and last week\u2019s mix<\/a> from Lot49<\/a>\u2018s Meat Katie<\/a> and the live show<\/a> from Somatic Responses<\/a> the week before that I think it\u2019s time to kick out the space jams.<\/p>\n
