Some call this subgenre of electronic music ethnotechno while others call it world beat. Maybe the reason it escapes such easy categorization is because this kind of electronic music borrows from so many cultures and is performed and composed by so musicians across the planet. Is ethnotechno electronic music that incorporates global rhythms and sounds? Or is it music composed by artists from different countries? Or both?
